Who this covers
Munir Labs is the trading name of Munir B. Abdullahi, an independent consultant based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what personal information is collected through munirlabs.com, why, and what you can do about it.

What is collected
If you contact me. Your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write. Nothing more is required.
If you book a call. Bookings are handled by Cal.com. It collects your name, email address, time zone, and any notes you add, and may collect a phone number if you provide one.
Site analytics. This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service that counts page views and referrers in aggregate. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally.
Server logs. This site is hosted on Vercel, which records standard technical information for every request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. This is used for security and reliability, and is retained according to Vercel's own schedule rather than mine.
What is not collected
There are no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no profiling. This site sets no cookies of its own, including for analytics. There are no user accounts and no mailing list.
The Cal.com booking interface may set its own cookies while you use it. That is governed by Cal.com's privacy policy, not this one.
Why it is collected
To reply to enquiries, arrange and hold meetings, deliver consulting work where an engagement follows, and keep the records that tax and commercial law require.
Where UK data protection law applies, the legal bases are: legitimate interests, for replying to an enquiry you initiated; performance of a contract, once an engagement exists; and legal obligation, for retaining records.
Who else sees it
Three service providers process data on my behalf:
- Vercel, website hosting, server logs, and cookieless site analytics
- Cal.com, call bookings
- Apple iCloud Mail, email hosting for hello@munirlabs.com
Your information is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing. It is not shared with anyone else unless the law requires it.
These providers operate outside the United Arab Emirates, so your information may be transferred and stored internationally under their own contractual safeguards.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and for any period required afterwards by UAE tax and commercial record-keeping rules. Server logs are held for whatever period Vercel applies.
Your rights
You can ask me to:
- tell you what information I hold about you
- correct anything inaccurate
- delete your information
- stop using it for a particular purpose
Email hello@munirlabs.com and you will get a reply within 30 days. I may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that I am not handing your information to someone else.
These rights are provided under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, and under UK data protection law where you are in the United Kingdom. If you are unhappy with how a request was handled, you can complain to the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Data sits with established providers rather than on any system I maintain myself, and access is limited to me. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and no site can promise otherwise.
Children
This site is intended for business use and is not directed at anyone under 18. Information from children is not knowingly collected.
Changes
This policy will be updated if what the site does changes. The date at the top will change with it, and any change to what is collected will appear here before it takes effect.
